2010 Intentions
I generally like to make my yearly intentions at my birthday, but I rarely make those public. Here, then, are the intentions I have for the next calendar year that I don’t mind sharing. Most of these are already in progress.
- Continue to make my diet healthier. Explore working with a nutritionist who specializes in the particular needs of people with SMA.
- Purposefully process old, distorted thought patterns stemming from childhood trauma. Put the same dedication and willingness-to-be-in-uncomfortable-places towards this healing as I put into my dental & orthodontic work in ‘09.
- Start dating again.
- Keep my Inbox clean.
- Meditate daily.
- Go to Mass at least once a month.
- Read one book a week. (I try this every year, but it’s been 6 years since I actually read 52 books.)
- Continue to work on staying connected to old friends, and make some new ones.
- Keep a gratitude journal to help me stop discounting the multitude of good things in my life.
